Kul Precision Floors is a hardwood flooring company based out of Thorold Ontario, we specialize in custom & common hardwood floors using mixed species, wide-plank, long length installations, patterned installations, and custom stains & finishes.

We love wood, we truly admire the properties and value it brings and especially when applied in flooring. A properly installed wood floor can easily last over 100 years, even up to 200 or more if it’s been taken care of well. Now it wouldn’t look great untouched for 200 years, but if you re-coated it every 5 years and refinished it every 25 years it would look beautiful its entire life span. We often sand floors over 100 years old, the oldest one we did was 176 years old in 2019. When we are restoring these old floors, we see what works, what holds up over time and what doesn’t. This gives us valuable knowledge when installing new floors. A floor that can’t be sanded - just can’t last that long. This is why we strongly favor solid wood over engineered wood. However it is possible to get engineered wood with a wear layer that is equal size to solid and therefore can be sanded and we are fans of that.
