Hardwood Installation
Precision & Craftsmanship.
We supply and install both pre-finished and un-finished floors. We can make your dream home come to life with custom borders, flush-mount vents or flawless finish going up to a stone fireplace. Or keep it simple with a straight lay install, just don’t ask us to install vinyl plank!
Featured on the left is a pre-finished hickory floor from Superior that we installed up to the hexagon tile. The tile was actually installed first, it took some extra time to get perfectly up to it but the result was well worth the effort.
To provide the smoothest experience for our clients, we do not install floors that were not purchased through us. We do not install wood floors from box stores. This way we can set proper expectations about products based on our experience and what we’ve seen installing floors, pulling boards out of boxes for over 17 years. We know which floors have more character, longer board lengths, better quality, etc.
Hardwood Refinishing
Site finished floors offer unsurpassed beauty. A seamless finish - free from beveled edges completely flat feels amazing underfoot. A properly installed real wood floor can last over 100 years. The oldest floor we ever sanded was a floor installed in 1809 and we sanded it in 2022. Solid wood floors nailed down are built to last and we see what lasts and what doesn’t when we repair these floors as well.
On the left is a red oak floor that was stained a dark brown colour previously. We have an Italian made planetary sander that gets the floors very flat. For your health and ours - Dust containment is one of our top priorities. We have industrial grade dust containment systems to keep the air quality in your home clean. We also only use water based varnishes that are low VOC or no VOC.
Custom Patterns
Isn’t it just amazing?! This is a custom floor we installed in Hamilton. It’s a white oak herringbone floor with a border featuring a 1” black walnut strip. I turned a straight 16’ board into a curved board the same radius as the window. Also installed 2 flush mount vents. Then we sanded, stained, and added the best varnish on the market from Germany that is a ceramic reinforced water based varnish.
We love making this.
Baseboard & quarter round installation
The floor doesn't look finished until the baseboard and quarter round goes up. The baseboard and quarter round hide the required expansion space where the floor and wall meet and add a beautiful finished touch to your room.
